Maxie puts school terms, clubs, playdates and appointments on one shared family calendar that you and your partner can both see. No forwarding screenshots, no "did you know about this?", no second app to check.

Works with how your family actually operates.

One of you loves apps. One of you doesn't. Maxie works for both.

The Partner

Gets reminders with everything they need to know and do.

Marks tasks done with one tap.

The Result

Nobody has to change how they work.

Questions parents ask about Maxie

Maxie is a family organiser app for busy parents with school-age children. It combines a shared family calendar with an AI assistant that reads your school emails, extracts events automatically, and reminds you what to prepare before every event: the PE kit, the permission slip, the birthday present. Think of it as the family brain you didn't know you needed.
Google Calendar tells you when something is happening. Maxie tells you what you need to do before it happens. Swimming on Tuesday? You'll get a reminder to pack the swim bag on Monday night, automatically, every week. Maxie also reads your school emails and creates events for you, tracks school term dates and holidays, and lets you assign prep tasks to your partner. Google Calendar does none of that.
Maxie is built specifically for UK families with school-age children. Unlike US-focused apps like Cozi, Maxie understands UK school terms, half-terms, and inset days. It reads the emails your school actually sends, works with the clubs and activities your kids actually do, and is designed for the way British family life actually works.
Yes. Every Maxie family gets a unique email address. Forward any school email or club newsletter to it and Maxie reads it, extracts the event details (date, time, location, what to bring) and adds everything to your family calendar. You can also snap a photo of a paper letter or school flyer and Maxie will extract the details from the image.
When you add a recurring event like swimming lessons, football training, or drama club you set up the prep tasks once. Maxie then sends you a reminder the night before, every single week: "Pack swim bag", "Bring shin pads", "Remember costume." You can assign tasks to your partner too, so the mental load actually gets shared not just acknowledged.
Yes. This is one of the things that makes Maxie genuinely different from generic calendar apps. Maxie tracks your school's term dates, half-terms, inset days, and one-off closures. It knows when your children are at school and when they're not, which makes scheduling, and task reminders, much smarter.
This is exactly what Maxie is designed for. The person doing most of the organising sets everything up, and Maxie handles the reminders. Their partner gets a notification at the right time: "Pick up Emily at 4pm" or "Pack PE kit tonight." One tap opens Maxie, they mark it done, and everyone's on the same page. No learning curve, no new habits...just simple, easy co-ordination.
Maxie has a free plan called Lite, with no time limit and no credit card required. Lite includes 3 Maxie AI Assists a month so you can try Quick Add, Photo to Calendar and Email to Calendar. For 50 Maxie AI Assists a month, Family is £4.99 a month or £41.99 a year, and your first 28 days are free with no card needed. If you don't subscribe, you move to Lite automatically. There are no surprise charges, and your calendar and everything in it stays exactly as it is. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel any time.
Maxie is available as an Android app on Google Play. On iPhone and iPad it runs in your browser, and you can add it to your home screen. A native iPhone app isn't available yet.
Yes, one way. Your Maxie calendar can appear inside Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook: subscribe once with your private Maxie link and events show up alongside everything else you plan. Changes made in Maxie flow out to those calendars (Google, Apple and Outlook refresh on their own schedule), but events you create there don't come back into Maxie. You can also forward event details from Maxie to any email address.
Yes. This is really important to us and your family privacy is our top priority. Maxie is invite-only. There are no public profiles and no searchable directories. Your family calendar is private to the members you invite. Maxie complies with UK GDPR. Your family's data is stored securely in the UK (London). To power features like reading a school email or photo, some content is processed by trusted AI and email providers, which may be outside the UK. Your family's data is protected and never sold.
